Pop Up Agent is a handy initiative designed by LPA to help photographers without agents deal with shoot enquiries and shoot production on a job by job basis. We can either act as your consultant, offering advice, or we can take up direct contact with your client and manage the shoot from start to finish.
Lifestyle photographer Paul Craig recently called upon the help of LPA’s Pop Up Agent service for some assistance in pitching for (and producing) a shoot with McGarryBowen and Amex. Due to a busy schedule and the complexity of the brief, Paul felt he could use a little support in quoting for the job, negotiating with the client and producing the shoot once it was signed off!
Pop Up Agent jumped on board and picked up contact with the client in order to put together some estimated costs for the production - we don’t limit our help to production, we are also available to negotiate fees, assist with wordy contracts and offer advice on any other photography matters on a consultancy basis!
Once all the nitty gritty of the brief, costs and shot list had all been mapped out, the shoot was signed off and we got the green light to commence production. With a total of 22x model roles to fill, we held a live casting over two days to select and meet our chosen talent for the shoot. Our location scout got to work sourcing four urban locations - a cafe, bookshop, bakery and supermarket - before we then picked up the reigns to arrange the permits and permissions.
The shoot itself took place over two days in central and North London, with Huw Williams art directing, LPA’s Charlie Cave managing all things style and Erica Schelgel in charge of make up. It was a busy two days with a large crew and lots of shots to achieve - we’re delighted to share the results of another Pop Up Agent success story with you below!
