Food and drink photographer Scott Choucino has been doing what he does best recently, heroing everyday foods and drinks, this time it is the turn of the humble banana.

Scott says that Bananas have long been his favourite fruit. In his own words ‘they taste great, full of carbs and potassium, and they come with their own bio degradable wrapper. The flavour changes day to day, but they still tend to be seen as a bit of a boring lunch box snack!'

Scott said he really wanted to try and bring out the banana a little and really showcase it as if it were a Roman Empire statue!

The shoot took place in Scott’s studio where he shot and styled the bananas working alongside retoucher Robert Gurney and assistant Richard Bradbury.
