Elkie Phillips/Future Cinema at Cannes

Last month one of our very own hair and make-up artists, Elkie Phillips, spent 4 days at the Cannes Film Festival working on an immersive theatrical premiere for Stella Artois. The event was produced by Future Cinema who partnered with Stella Artois to launch their short film about the renowned film director/producer and king of Cannes Jacques D'Azur. Elkie tells us what it was like: " I did a lot of research into the hair and make up styles of this era. Each character had to be identifiable by their look so I had to create very different styles for each actor, mainly the women. Some were high glamour and others were more understated depending on their role. My favourite part was producing the beehive every day for our 'it' girl and then seeing it on the red carpet!"
