LPA Style/Alice Timms/Sony World Photography Awards 2011

We are extremely proud to announce that these images, recently styled by Alice Timms (LPA Style) and shot by Liam Arthur, have been shortlisted for the Sony World Photography Awards 2011 Fashion Category. The images made it into the top ten from over 100,000 entries worldwide! The overall winners will be announced on the 27th April at the Gala Ceremony in London as part of the World Photography Festival. Alice talks about the motivation behind the styling...

"The inspiration for the images was taken from the grace and movement in ballet, and the costumes from classic swan lake. We wanted to show the softness and the beauty of the fabrics mixed with different textures, so I kept accessories (some of which I made) to a minimum leaving the model in bare feet to add to the sense of lightness and freedom."
