Nick David / Personal Project / Ballroom Dancing

The bright colours and graceful dancing of the UK Regional Ballroom Championships were the backdrop for Nick David's most recent personal project in the North East of England. Nick accessed a whole new world of music, colour and healthy competition during this shoot, witnessing the commitment and occasional sacrifice made by children and their families who compete at this level. Dancing here in the finals in Sunderland, the main goal for these dancers is to reach the international championships held in Blackpool each year. The importance of costume, hair and make up is illustrated here, together with the poise and love of performance evident within the young dancers.
