Start Up Photo Talks & Dining Club / Getting Commissioned

This Thursday Lisa will be hosting a panel discussion for Start Up Photo Talks & Dining Club on what's got to be the hottest topic in the photography industry... Getting Commissioned. 

Start Up Photo Talks and Dining Club is emerging as the key event for professional photographers to get together to share, learn, and connect. In fact, it's the ONLY official photographers dining club in the UK (as far as we know!) With the third event coming up, it’s already gaining industry recognition. In addition to Lisa's expert opinion as one of the UK's most prominent photographers agents, the panel is comprised of legendary photographers Harry Borden, Chris Floyd and David Stewart plus influential commissioners Christine De Blangy, Art Buyer at Leo Burnett, Daniel Moorey, Art Buyer at Adam and Eve DDB and Picture Editor Emma Bowkett from the Financial Times. In addition to insights from these industry giants, there will be plenty of time for some dining, imbibing and networking.

How do you get a commission from a top advertising agency or magazine? What new promotional ideas are there? How do you cost to win a job? What should you put in your folio to win a commission? Is it who you know rather than what you do? These and many more questions will be addressed on the night.

Due to an overwhelming demand the event is now unfortunately sold out. However that doesn't mean that you can't still get involved! As well as questions asked on the night of the event, you can engage through social media to get your vital questions answered. The event will be held at the newly opened Proud Archivist in Haggerston and will be hosted by photographer ANTON, the founder of Start Up Photo Talks & Dining Club.
